The Parker Skiba Memorial Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Computer Science was set up in early 2018 following the tragic and unexpected death of Parker Skiba. He died in his sleep at age 23. Parker was an undergraduate student University of Texas Austin Computer Science Major and a software engineer at Snow Software. The Scholarship Fund is targeted at UT Austin Computer Science students that have entrepreneurial ambitions. 2024 has been the seventh consecutive year of awarding scholarships. Over 28 Scholarships have been awarded since its inception.
