The Parker Skiba Memorial Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Computer Science was established in early 2018 in memory of Parker Skiba who died tragically and unexpectedly in his sleep on December 12, 2017.
Scholarship recipients depend on the generosity of ordinary people making donations to boost the endowment size. We ask for your continued contribution to the many dreams and goals of these bright, hard working and ambitious students. There are a number of reasons for donating:
Helping the Spirit of Parker Skiba to Live On
Parker Skiba touched many people’s lives. He was wise beyond his years, brilliant beyond reasonable, and loving to all. He left the world at an incredibly young age of 23, and the purpose of this scholarship program is, in part, to help keep the memory and spirit of Parker to live on for the next 20+ years. A donation made to the University of Texas under this memorial scholarship would extend the life of the program and increase the benefits to the recipients.
